The difference

You fix things.
You don't buy leads.

Other platforms make you pay before you've earned a penny: credits to see a job, a monthly subscription to stay listed, a fee for every lead and a bidding war against the engineer down the road. CallOut sends you real jobs near you, at your prices. Nothing to buy first.

  • Credits to see jobsNone
  • Monthly subscriptionNone
  • Paying for leadsNever
  • Bidding against other engineersNever

You set your call-out fee and your rate. The job comes to you with its price on it. Accept it, or don't.

Technology that works for you

Focus on the job.
CallOut does the rest.

Take a screenshot in your flue gas analyser's app and the readings land on the job. Buy a part at the counter and the receipt is read and logged. Pay for parking on the way and it's counted as a job cost. Nothing to connect, nothing to type. Your copilot sees it, logs it and writes it up.

Working with CallOut

Your prices

Set your own call-out fee and hourly rate. Every offer shows the price before you accept.

Paid fast

Network jobs land in your wallet by late morning the next day. CallOut customers' card payments, usually straight away. Withdraw when you want.

Jobs near you

Go online and offers come from where you are. Each one shows the problem, the distance and the partner's note.

A copilot that listens

Talk the job through. It asks the right question at the right moment and writes the record for you.

No paperwork

Certificates fill themselves from the job. Renewal reminders and compliance are done for you.

Someone in your corner

A real specialist helps you set up, and support is a message or a call away on every job.

Here's what you need to sign up

Three things, scanned in the app. We check them for you, and you're ready for a practice job.

An engineer's card: Gas Safe registered, insurance and ID verified

Sign up in the app

Scan your cards rather than typing them. Dewey walks you through it in about ten minutes.

Gas Safe and ACS

Your Gas Safe card and ACS certificates. We check them against the register for you.

Requirements

Public liability insurance

At least £5m cover. We confirm the policy with your insurer, so you don't have to chase it.

Insurance

About ten minutes, start to finish

Four stages, all in the app. Nothing is typed that a camera can read.

  1. A Gas Safe card read and checked
    1

    Scan your cards

Gas Safe, ACS, ECS or WaterSafe. Each one read, then checked with whoever issued it.

  2. A live selfie matched to the ID
    2

    Prove it's you

Photo ID and a live selfie, verified by Didit, and your address matched to UK records.

  3. The door face check, enrolled
    3

    Set up the door check

The face checked at every door, enrolled once. Your insurance is confirmed with your insurer.

  4. Welcome to CallOut, you're in
    4

    You're in

A short chat about your work, a person approves you, then a practice job with Dewey.

Everything you need

On the job

Hands-free from the door to the sign-off.

Arrived, with the partner's note

Arrive knowing what to expect

Turn-by-turn to the door, with the partner's note: "Visit security at the front desk".

The copilot's safety check

Safety checks, in your ear

Gas, a clear way out, anyone vulnerable. Then a slow walk-round on your phone's camera.

Flue gas readings from a screenshot

Scan it, don't type it

Data plates, part labels, receipts, even your analyser's screenshot from your camera roll.

Is this the part? Read from its label

Parts, from the label

Scan the part. CallOut reads the number, finds it nearby at trade price, and asks the partner first if it goes over their limit.

How did it end? Fixed, or beyond economical repair

Slide to finish

Say how it ended, the after-work checks are done by voice, then the certificate and invoice go out.

The copilot

The engineer in your ear.
On every job.

It listens while you work, asks the right question at the right moment, runs your safety checks out loud and writes the job up from your own words. Gloves on, hands full: start with "CallOut" and it does the rest.

Meet the copilot

Scan the part. We find it.

Photograph the label and CallOut reads the part number, checks it fits the boiler and finds it in stock nearby at trade price, in a browser that uses your own trade account. Over the partner's limit? It says so straight away and asks them for you.

  • Read from the label, checked against the boiler

Top questions from engineers

What does CallOut charge?

A small fee on each job, shown in every offer before you accept. Nothing on parts, which are paid at cost.

When do I get paid?

Once the job is signed off. A network's job is in your wallet within 24 hours, usually between 11:00 and 12:00 the next day. When a CallOut customer pays by card, it's usually with you straight away. You move money to your bank whenever you choose.

Can I set my own prices?

Yes. You set your call-out fee and hourly rate, and you estimate the labour on each job. Customers see the price before work starts.

What if a job needs a part, or costs more than expected?

Scan the part and CallOut finds it nearby. If a partner has a limit and the job goes over it, CallOut asks them for you, with your costs, photos and notes attached.

Do I have to keep talking to the copilot?

No. Quiet is normal while you work. It listens, asks at the moments that matter, like readings and safety checks, and keeps the record from what you say.

Can I bring my own customers?

Yes. Book them through CallOut and they pay on their own link or in cash. Certificates and compliance are done for you, and your earnings stay private.

Which trades can join?

Gas engineers, plumbers and electricians, with the registrations and insurance for their trade.
